The draft version of the first booklets is ready. The booklets provide teachers with the graphical layout of the mat, a clear description of the process to use them in classroom and the coding to be used to make them interactive.


Mat 1: Gender Equality: the Adventure of Botti and His Spaceship

This project addresses the vital themes of gender equality and the dismantling of societal prejudices through a fictional narrative. The main character, Botti, an alien robot en route to the planet Xylokron, finds him- self making an unplanned landing on Earth. As Botti embarks on a series of encounters with Earth’s inhabitants, he becomes increasingly aware of the complex social norms, gender roles and stereotypes. The overarching aim of this project is to foster an understanding of gender equality from both social and professional perspectives, while encouraging critical examination of ingrained biases. In the formative years of childhood, establishing strong habi- ts around health and well-being is crucial for long-term physical and mental development. Children are not only rapidly growing but are also highly impressionable, making it the ideal time to introduce essential practices that will shape their future health. Unfortunately, many children lack the knowledge or motivation to prioritize personal health, hygiene, and nutrition. The Amazon Rainforest, a cradle of life and one of the most biodi- verse regions on Earth, is facing an unprecedented crisis. From rampant deforestation to illegal poaching and water pollution, this irreplace- able ecosystem is under siege. In response, this project was born—an educational initiative that blends the magic of storytelling with critical lessons aimed to environmental conservation. Through the eyes of two adventurers, Blueparrot and Bluetoucan, this project explores the rich biodiversity of the Amazon’s flora and fauna while raising awareness about the pressing threats it faces. Animal trafficking and poaching represent two of the most pressing threats to global biodiversity. These illegal activities, driven by profit and fueled by demand for exotic pets, body parts, and trophies, are pushing numerous species to the brink of extinction. Many of the animals targeted, from majestic elephants and rhinos to exotic birds and reptiles, play crucial roles in maintaining ecological balance. In the vibrant land of Ozone Town, once sparkling with green meadows and clear blue skies, trouble began when thick clouds of smoke and soot cast shadows over the villages. Leo and Lia, two smart and adventurous students, knew something had to be done. The town council told stories of giant monsters terrorizing the villages—beasts made of coal, oil, and gas, each spreading pollution wherever they roamed. This project, designed specifically for young learners, aims to inspire respon- sible consumption habits through an engaging and educational story. The heart of the project is a captivating journey led by a wise and caring grandfather, who takes his grandchildren on a four-part adven- ture. This fictional story begins with the sowing and cultivation of wheat, allowing the children to witness the effort and resources required to produce something as simple, yet essential, as food. As the wheat is harvested and transported to industries, the children discover how it is transformed into everyday products they recognize and use. See more ...
